Le Tiers Du Cylindre
Serie 5/8, also known as the Tiers du Cylinder bet, covers a portion of the wheel, covering the six numbers on either side of zero. It also has a unique bonus bet, called a chimp bomb, which pays out if one of the chips lands on a unique number in the betting table. The maximum payout is 17:1. The Orphelins bet, meanwhile, covers the eight numbers opposite to zero on the roulette wheel.
En Prison
In French, a rule known as ‘Roullete en prison’ is a variant of the la partage rule which allows players to rescue their money from the roulette wheel after losing a bet. The en prison rule allows players to win their bet back, but their stake is kept in prison until the next spin. If the spin is not won, the money is lost for good. There are some exceptions to this rule, however.
La Partage
